Blackburn Leadpipes are known throughout the world for their superb intonation and response. Each and every pipe is handcrafted in the USA! Blackburn makes a wide variety of pipes for Bach Stradivarius Bb and C trumpets. The options are as follows:
-
11: A great option for commercial and lead players! It has fantastic intonation and a brilliant well centered tone.
- 12: A very clear and focused sound that is more dense than the #11. It has superb projection.
- 12M: A nice choice for players looking for a warmer sound that is not excessively dark. Its medium dark sound is a little darker than the #12.
- 15L: The "Crossover" leadpipe. This pipe is comfortable in many applications from lead to classical playing. It offers some initial resistance but then opens up when pushed.
- 19: The most popular option from Blackburn! Its robust medium dark tone is paired nicely with outstanding response.
- 20: The most open model from Blackburn. A player can use a ton of air while producing a dark and powerful sound.
- 52: Blackburn's most efficient and responsive model. It is initially resistant but then almost immediately opens up. This allows tone to blossom in the extreme upper registers.
