The American custom line contains many models that were originally conceived and designed by the man himself, Vic Firth. The great performer and educator was the first to pioneer the manufacturing of a round striking surface on the drumstick. The line of maple sticks is filled out with models for all players and genres with a light and fast feel. 

The SD4 Combo is made slightly shorter and thinner than average and has a barrel tip. This makes the SD4 a great fit for jazz combos and chamber music ensembles.
